We elected to do a total sleeper by keeping the entire Eaton housing with the snout. We successfully gutted the stock supercharger and creating an idler pulley via independent snout assembly so that when the hood is popped it looks like a bone stock 03. This not only utilizes the existing upgraded intercooler for our 23PSI , but also saves $$$ on an air to air intercooler and replacement manifold. Estimated power is 810 RWHP and 900+ with Heads and cams.

IronMan Custom has developed a rear mount Turbo kit for the 94-04 Mustang that can be effortlessly installed in a day with minimal modifications. The Sleeper Mustang Turbo System is a true work of engineering. Our kit removes all the hassles and costs associated with Turbo charging. No ripping the motor compartment apart, relocating components, tossing the headers you bought last year , Completely replacing your k-member, ripping the front of the car apart etc.. The myths of lag ,efficiency , expensive installs are now only myths. This system has no lag and can be installed in an afternoon . Our system can accommodate a thumper 91mm race Turbo . Ignition and motor upgrades are required for big boost. Our intake tubing will take over 30PSI and the Sleeper remote mount Turbo without a doubt is the wave of future for forced induction for Mustangs. Stay tuned for dyno and track results. What comes with the street /strip Kit?
Turbonetics T4 60mm Ball Bearing Turbo, Wastegate, Boost controller, Blow off Valve, Intake Bypass valve, Mandrel bent 3.25" Stainless Steel preformed exhaust tubing (Exhaust tubing to and from the Turbo is Ceramic coated inside and out for low external heat transfer, Aluminum Intake Tubing, heat shielding, Interior side panel, optional remote mounted 5 qt (18" x 6") capacity oil reservoir and pump, optional rear seat delete kit, Flared side scoops with filter mesh installed, C&L MAF, injectors, exhaust dump (optional exhaust to mufflers will be available for 49 state legal, along with optional SLP headers and X-pipe. The self contained oiling unit and under car intake tubing will allow for a cool run to the intake without a traditional intercooler for applications up to 8 psi..
DYNO TUNING WILL BE REQUIRED!!!!! We will be working on finalizing a program for the different applications.
Initial Dyno testing yielded 346RWHP - 386 RWTQ @8psi at only 4700 RPM on a 2002 GT AOD with Patriot heads and cams which has a 23% driveline loss vs a manual 18%. (354 RWHP - 395 RWTQ) @ 4700 RPM
We upgraded the t3/t4 60mm to the t4 60mm along with full 3" Exhaust Tubing to and from the Turbo. The increased size of the T4 exhaust housing allowed power output to continue to redline as the t3 exhaust housing was undersized to support high exhaust flow rate.

This Turbo set up makes instant boost on a T4 60mm - 7 PSI at 2500 RPM , 11 PSI @ 3500 RPM and over 20 PSI @ 6000 RPM on a 2 valve 4.6 v8 and has a similar feel to that of a twin screw blown or roots blown car. The only thing it does not have that belt driven blowers offer is parasitic loss of HP from being belt driven. This can be 40-70hp on most supercharged street cars. This is one of the main reasons Turbos have always offered superior performance and with a quick spool, your HP numbers will be higher per lb of boost without turbo lag and now Turbo power is hassle free.

FAQ
Will rain affect the rear mount turbo..? No...We have tested the design and no rain water is sucked into the turbo inlet.
What about heat? The exhaust drive temp is over 50% less than header mounted turbos and we use an independent cool oiling system. In addition, the Turbo compartment is cooled by ram air from the side scoops and the compartment is outfitted with a high velocity 4" heat extraction fan. The compartment is also heat shielded and all exhaust tubing to and from the turbo is ceramic coated.
What about Lag? Turbo size and turbine selection is matched with the exhaust drive force from the 4.6 2V and 4V for maximum spooling. Test results have shown minimal lag as boost develops below 2500 RPM. The high output turbos and unrestricted intake tubing designs allow for maximum air flow and quick boost.

The production version of the kit has 3" Mandrel Stainless Tubing for exhaust and 2.5"-4" aluminum tubing from the turbo to the intake. Our all Aluminum intake tubing can support 30+lbs of boost and after driving over 3 hours to Carlisle, our intake tubing from the turbo to the motor was cool to the touch.
Pictured above is our 02 Sleeper project car during development and upon completion. The Cervini flared scoops work very well for this application and can be purchased separately..
Not sure about a rear mount Turbo technology??
Turbos have been traditionally put in the engine compartment on smaller displacement engines to reduce lag. Header mounted Turbos are a complex and costly install and often require major changes and modifications. Moreover, the Turbos are exposed to excessive heat beyond what they generate during air compression leading to the myth that Turbos run super hot. Another key factor is balanced backpressure before and after the turbo. Header mounted turbo systems with street legal exhaust have increased backpressure after the turbo. Our system is 100% balance as the turbo placement is after the high flow cats and before the high flow turbo back exhaust, essentially in the middle of the exhaust system. Our system runs cool and with the V8 driving it, Lag is not an issue. Another big advantage is time and cost. Rear mount saves a ton of time and money. ie. On our twin turbo design for the Mustang, you use a traditional X-pipe and the only thing you need to relocate is the battery.
The JMS Products Inc. Sleeper Turbo kit will gain 160-180 + rwhp on a stock 2v @8psi. With the Patriot high flow heads and aggressive cams we are expecting well over 425 RWHP @8psi. The heads and cams lowered our compression to a desirable 8.5:1
All testing will be performed on a DynoJet Chassis Dyno.
This kit can be installed on any 94-04 V6, GT, Bullit, Cobra, Mach1 (we will be running a single turbo into a roots blower and publishing results) 03-04 Cobra owners can also opt for the twin turbo to replace the stock blower. (with gearing upgrades on a 4 valve, the Sleeper Turbo kit will rival if not out perform the best belt driven forced induction systems available)
JMS Products Inc. Compucar bottle in a bag nitrous system can also be used with this system. We recommend a 20-40hp shot to supercool. Larger shots may require less boost or engine upgrades. Our Twin Turbo 5.2 stroker will be running 18psi with a 125 shot for starters.
